Dear Past by Muad – New Album review & Lyrics too

‘Dear Past’ is the brand new 15 track album by Nasheed artist Muad.

And it’s absolutely amazing!

Why?

Here are a few reasons why ‘Dear Past’ is a great album to listen to right now.

Vocals Only

The album is vocals only. The producer, Tasleem Kariem (@tasleemkariem), has done such a good job that you cannot tell no instruments were used. Great work!

A Whopping 15 Tracks

Most albums have 8 songs, or 10. Muad has released a 15 song album. So, you’re getting your money’s worth.

Collaborations

Muad teams up with other Nasheed artist such as Siedd, as well as his daughter Zayaan.

But who is Muad?

Muad is a British Nasheed artist from the city of Birmingham. He sings in both English and Arabic.

Here are some of our reviews for his best previous songs:

Jannah and Salam are some of the best songs of all time in my opinion. However, the Ya Ilahi review gets the most visits on this blog.

But, that was the past. We are here to discuss the present.

So, let’s deep dive into each track of Muad’s new album, Dear Past.

Dear Past – Track by Track

Each track has a different message, mood and target audience.

Some tracks will appeal to parents with young children, especially those featuring Zayaan. On the other hand, some tracks will appeal to street savvy youngsters, such as the hip-hop sounding songs.

So, let’s go through all 15 songs and provide the following for each:

  1. Review of the track
  2. Music Video (if available)
  3. Track Lyrics (some of these have been written by ear, so forgive me if there are any mistakes)

Track 1: Troubled Soul

Download on Amazon

Unique beginning.

While some albums kick off with an introduction or a long music (or vocal sounds) intro, Muad’s new album starts with lyrics from the beginning.

Troubled Soul almost feels like a dua. Muad is reflecting on his past, admitting fault and asking Allah for forgiveness.

Asking for forgiveness is highly encouraged in Islam

They are those who, upon committing an evil deed or wronging themselves, remember Allah and seek forgiveness and do not knowingly persist in sin—and who forgives sins except Allah?

(Quran 3:135)

I can’t help but notice Muad asks Allah to ‘Bring him home’ in this track, home possibly referring to Jannah. In the last track, Muad sings about making his way home. It’s Almost like the ring composition found in verses of the Quran, such as Ayatul Kusi or the story of Yusuf, where the beginning is related to the end.

If you’re unfamiliar with ring composition. Here is an idea:

There is no music video for this song yet. However, it is available to listen to on Youtube. Here’s the song:

Troubled Soul Lyrics

So many times, it crossed my mind
Search for answers I couldn’t find
Thought that I was left behind, oh
Then I saw that I was wrong
And you were there all along
And i’m exactly as you planned
Where I belong

Step by step, I moved away
Found it hard to communicate
I was the one responsible
Cause with you love is impossible

Chorus

Lord I give you my troubled soul
You give me back all your love and hope
And every day I make mistakes
You direct me when you know which way
Forgive me lord i’ve gone astray
Cause all this time you kept me safe
Lord I give you my troubled soul
I’m alone, bring me home

I couldn’t pick all the pieces
They told me patience is the key to healing
I thought that answers
Just took too long, oh
And suddenly I was motionless
And out of nowhere doors opened up
I just jumped to conclusions and I was wrong

Step by step, I moved away
Found it hard to communicate
I was the one responsible
Cause with you love is impossible

Chorus

Lord I give you my troubled soul
You give me back all your love and hope
And every day I make mistakes
You direct me when you know which way
Forgive me lord i’ve gone astray
Cause all this time you kept me safe
Lord I give you my troubled soul
I’m alone, bring me home

I am blinded by the hays of smoke
But I am searching for that ray of home
Asking questions do you hear my prays
Forgive me lord I am really scared

Lord I give you my troubled soul
You give me back all your love and hope
And every day I make mistakes
You direct me when you know which way

Lord I give you my troubled soul
You give me back all your love and hope
And every day I make mistakes
You direct me when you know which way

Forgive me lord i’ve gone astray
Cause all this time you kept me safe
Lord I give you my troubled soul
I’m alone, bring me home

Track 2: Angels and the Gates (ft Zayaan)

Download on Amazon

This one is a duet between Muad and his daughter Zayaan.

The title alone paints a picture. One might imagine Angels standing at the gates of Jannah.

Like many songs in this album, this one is focused on Jannah.

Characteristics of Jannah are presented as well as reminders teaching us that Jannah is better than this world.

What about the video?

The two share a strong bond, and that chemistry comes across in the music video.

I love the way both Muad and Zayaan go for a high five but then simultaneously pull their hands away.

Check out the Video to Angels at the Gates:

Muad X Zayaan - Angels At The Gates (Vocals Only)

Angels at the Gates Lyrics

I, can’t imagine what it’s like
Well beyond what’s on my mind
Nothing short of unbelievable

These Dreams
Can’t compare to what i’ll see
Rivers flowing underneath
But with prayer it’s reachable

Gardens so beautiful
And homes that shine in silver and gold
I’ll never pass my greatest chance
To be free from this world

Chorus

Angels at the gates
Welcome us with praise
Enter I give salam
And live on this greatest land
Allah’s gift to us
Built with precious love
Gardens of Paradise
I’d trade it for this world

Just think
A gentle breeze of fragrant winds
In a place you cannot sin
Where you’ll feel peace for eternity

And I pray
That both my parents have a place
Under God’s eternal shade
Where serenity is the only thing you feel

Arabic Verse

And how beautiful life is in it
With the beloved chosen one
And it’s fragrance and rivers
And it’s pleasure is blessed

Chorus

Angels at the gates
Welcome us with praise
Enter I give salam
And live on this greatest land
Allah’s gift to us
Built with precious love
Gardens of Paradise
I’d trade it for this world

Extraordinary
Allah has blessed me
Live forever not temporary
Pray that my beliefs lead me there

Ya Allah
Grant me a home
Up in Jannatul Firdaws
I pray that you accept
My parents by my side

Chorus

Angels at the gates
Welcome us with praise
Enter I give salam
And live on this greatest land
Allah’s gift to us
Built with precious love
Gardens of Paradise
I’d trade it for this world

Track 3: Echos

Download on Amazon

One of the best songs on the album in my opinion.

Echos teaches that our actions can affect, and even be copied, by the people around us.

There is a saying ‘Children see, Children do’, this could not be more true. Therefore, it’s important for us to think about our actions as they are likely to be mirrored by others who look up to us.

The song encourages us to leave behind positivity and love rather than money or other material things.

I like the line ‘No-one said that it would be easy, don’t have three wishes from a Genie’. Interestingly, the word Genie comes from the plural of the word Jinn!

It’s a short, up-beat track.

For some reason, the song reminds me of ‘Forgive me’ by Maher Zain.

Have a listen and let me know your thoughts in the comments below.

Echos Lyrics

What you do echo’s in this life
Beyond the mountains and the sky
Light up the world flash a light
Like shooting starts up in the night

We chase after life
But we don’t realise that
We don’t have much time in-between therefore
What you leave behind
Is what truly defines you
So give them a hug right before you leave

Oh, your name in lights
Keep it alive
Don’t let it fight
and oh, give me a moment
Before I go
To leave my love before I say goodbye

No-one said that it would be easy
Don’t have three wishes from a Genie
Give them a beautiful surprise
Don’t you go down without a fight

This work don’t come free,
Got no choice but to be me
I’ll take what I need before my dreams come true
I’ve got my Deen, got the strength that I need
And we’ve got a belief that I wont loose

Oh, your name in lights
Keep it alive
Don’t let it fight
and oh, give me a moment
Before I go
To leave my love before I say goodbye

Track 4: Al Quran

Download on Amazon

Deep track all about connecting with the Quran.

The power and beauty of the Quran has been highlighted in this song, in both the English and Arabic language.

Simple Arabic.

Muad uses simple Arabic in his songs, these are common phrases that even non-Arabic speakers may recognise.

Fantastic video.

The music video is split into two halves. Reflection in the woods and reflection in the Mosque.

That’s correct. A Nasheed filmed in a Mosque!

It’s amazing to know that the Amanah Mosque in Birmingham allowed the music video to be filmed inside the Masjid itself. We recently created a map of all Mosques in Birmingham, you will find Amanah on the list just East of the Birmingham Central Mosque. So, why not pay them a visit next time you’re in the city? It looks great inside.

Muad - Al-Quran (Vocals Only)

Al- Quran Lyrics

A message from the sky
A mercy to mankind
If you lose your way will always be your guide
Far greater than this world
Moves mountains with its words
Fixed every part of me
And put my heart at ease
And Allah knows
Words heal the soul
Most beautiful
Of miracles
The more you read
The more you feel
Allah’s love
With every beat

Chorus

Al quran
Nuruun wa bayaan
Al quran
Hadyul iman
Al quran
Miskuul hitam
Al quran
Alayka salam

Arabic verse

A speech that guides the soul
A cure for the hearts
It’s verse full of beauty
It sweetens your life
My heart yearns for it
A light in my palms
A companion through time
My path to Jannah
Knowledge that is certain
A clear guidance
It removes sadness
It gives true life to man
Longing and yearning
Emotional and compassionate
A mixture of feelings
When reading the Quran

Al quran
Nuruun wa bayaan
Al quran
Hadyul iman
Al quran
Miskuul hitam
Al quran
Alayka salam

Arabic Verse 2

Oh Allah, make the Quran the spring of our hearts
And the light of our hearts
& remover of our sadness
And our guidance in this life and the hereafter

Al quran
Nuruun wa bayaan
Al quran
Hadyul iman
Al quran
Miskuul hitam
Al quran
Alayka salam

Track 5: Round and Around

Download on Amazon

We sin, we try to improve ourselves… only to sin again.

A common cycle highlighted in this excellent song by both Muad and Zayaan.

I can visualise people up and down the UK playing this in their car, on repeat, round and around.

Round & Around (feat. Zayaan)

Round and Around Lyrics

I keep telling myself that
I’m going to change my life
But the problem inside is so strong
It’s hard to explain how

I get home and I just think why
I feel alone
Please help me lord
I don’t want your gold

Round and around
Sin after sin (I’m going)
Round and around
I’m at it again
Round and around
And I feel so weak
Round and around
Lord help me please

People keep telling me that’s just the way it goes
It’s ok to feel bad
But i’m so lost that I don’t know which way to go
And this life goes real fast

But my heart is telling me
I’m not ok
So begging you to help me please
I don’t want to go

Round and around
Sin after sin (I’m going)
Round and around
I’m at it again
Round and around
And I feel so weak
Round and around
Lord help me please

Track 6: Falling

Download on Amazon

A fast paced lively song.

Falling is about picking yourself back up, and asking Allah for help.

The melody is catchy and you wouldn’t think the Nasheed is music-free, But, it is!

Falling Lyrics

I am laughing but broken
I am smiling but loosing it
Swimming across the ocean wish it just takes me away
I am flying but falling
Confident but full of doubt
Will I make it to morning but the silence is loud

I am stuck in a nightmare, nightmare
All I have is my breath, my breath
It’s banging in my head
Don’t have any time left
It’s running away taking my happiness

Chorus

I know that life is a test
Wrong and maybe young but I can bet (unsure)
With every hardship you feel comes ease
The answers come we don’t expect
But I can never see it, see it
But I can always feel it, feel it
I put my faith and trust in you lord
Cause you are the one I believe in

I am stuck in this freedom
Trying to find my way out thinking
of a million reasons of how to conquer it all
My good is better than demons
Fixing up as it shattering
To a million pieces
Can’t survive anymore

I am stuck in a nightmare, nightmare
All I have is my breath, my breath
It’s banging in my head
Don’t have any time left
It’s running away taking my happiness

Chorus

I know that life is a test
Wrong and maybe young but I can bet (unsure)
With every hardship you feel comes ease
The answers come we don’t expect
But I can never see it, see it
But I can always feel it, feel it
I put my faith and trust in you lord
Cause you are the one I believe in

I, I am strong
Even when i’m alone
You are the one
Guiding me all alone

Chorus

I know that life is a test
Wrong and maybe young but I can bet (unsure)
With every hardship you feel comes ease
The answers come we don’t expect
But I can never see it, see it
But I can always feel it, feel it
I put my faith and trust in you lord
Cause you are the one I believe in

Track 7: Diamonds & Pearls ft Zayaan

Described as a rags to riches story, Muad and Zayaan teach us the value of loving our parents through this song.

We often chase after material things. However, love and maintaining relations are far more valuable.

A love Nasheed.

We’ve heard of love songs. In fact, almost every mainstream song is related to love.

However, love Nasheeds are hard to find. I’m talking about Nasheeds that make a direct reference to love whether it be towards our parents, spouse or love of Allah.

I see many searches for ‘Islamic Love Songs’ on Google – so there is demand. Users searching this term often land on my review for ‘True Love by Maher Zain‘. Now, they have another option.

Check out the Diamonds and Peal music video:

Muad X Zayaan - Diamonds & Pearls (Vocals Only)

Diamonds and Pearls Lyrics

Mama was laying on the hospital bed
With health complications no energy left
With 8 of her own praying she just comes home
Her love and her strength gave us hope

Baba was out all day three jobs
Put food on the table no matter the cost
We all thought we grew up not having much but
They gave us something i’d never give up

Chorus

Your love
Is worth more than all diamonds and pearls
I love you more than I can put into words
More than this whole world
More than everything between heaven and earth

I see how my baba loves all his parents
So I wana give back a love that is endless
And I know my story has so many chapters
You’re my happily ever after
Life isnt perfect sometimes it can hurt
But you’re my happily ever after
But one thing they taught me is having a purpose
You are my rock, you’re my heart
You’re my world and i’ll always put you first

Chorus

Your love
Is worth more than all diamonds and pearls
I love you more than I can put into words
More than this whole world
More than everything between heaven and earth

Mama I love you
There’s noone above you
Baba if i’m scared
You’re the one i’ll run to
You are my rock, you’re my heart
You’re my word and
I’ll always put you first

Chorus

Your love
Is worth more than all diamonds and pearls
I love you more than I can put into words
More than this whole world
More than everything between heaven and earth

Track 8: Sami

Download on Amazon

I had to listen to this track a few times to really understand its meaning.

So, what is it all about?

Here is my interpretation:

Sami, the main character in the song, appears to be a young playful boy who was either attacked or had someone taken away from him.

Then, after waking up, he was not the same. Perhaps disabled due to his injury or mentally tortured.

He grows up thinking about his traumatic experience over and over again, and it affects his ability to trust others. He simply wants to close his eyes and escape.

However, he returns to the remembrance of God, and potentially reaches Jannah in the next life.

It’s worth listening to this one a few times and reflecting over it. Another strong track by Muad.

Sami Lyrics

Sami was fast asleep
Lost in the deepest dream
Life was a fairy-tale
Magical every day
He was just 6 years old
Swinging from rope to rope
Often on treasure hunts
Then suddenly woke up

It’s not how it’s meant to be
Nothing was ever real
I’m so surprised, it was a lie
It was all a lie

Chorus

Oh oh oh
I just wana go right back to sleep
Oh oh oh
Where I am safe only place I am free

Oh monsters are real
Look like you and me
I battle with them like dragons in my dreams

oh oh oh
Let me go back to sleep
Sami is now 16
Doesn’t know what to believe
Lots of concern for the worst
Now everyone he had met had heard him

Why is my life like this
I just don’t want to exist
I’ve never hurt a single soul
I’ll just wait for that glimmer of hope

It’s not how it’s meant to be
Nothing was ever real
I’m so surprised, it was a lie
It was all a lie

Chorus

Oh oh oh
I just wana go right back to sleep
Oh oh oh
Where I am safe the only place I am free

Oh monsters are real
Look like you and me
I battle with them like dragons in my dreams

oh oh oh
Let me go back to sleep
Sami has found his way back home
Remembering stories of old
He went back to the way it was
Realised God is enough

Oh oh oh
Sami has gone back to sleep
Oh oh oh
Jannah’s the last thing he dreamed
Oh oh oh
I pray that Sami is resting in peace
Oh oh oh
Grant him Jannah at the highest place

Life is a message
Learn from his lesson
Life is the test the gate for the heavens
Just pray before you sleep

Track 9: Grateful ft Siedd

Download on Amazon

Grateful is a special song as it features well known Nasheed artist Siedd.

Siedd is famous for songs such as ‘Back to you‘ and ‘Fly‘ – check out our reviews on them too.

Grateful is what it says on the tin. A song about being grateful for everything Allah has given us.

From waking up in the morning to our features, we should be thankful for everything he has given us.

Furthermore, this song has a catchy chorus that sounds superb when played loud.

Summer vibes!

When I hear this song I picture people riding with their windows down, with the song on full blast.

Grateful (feat. Siedd)

Grateful Lyrics

Waking up today was no accident
He gave me health and happiness
Alhamdulillah for his precious gift
Live today not tomorrow

Ya Allah I thank you every time
I can see clearly through these eyes
Subhanallah these are simple signs
Know that my time is borrowed

From my eyesight down to the touch
I can not even thank you enough
I promise you i’m not giving up
Jannah is what awaits me
Life has been more than good to me
Even the pain has taught me to see
Appreciate the air you breathe
Ya Allah you made me

Chorus

I’m grateful
For every single thing you’ve given me
I’m grateful
And I don’t need to worry about a thing
And if I forget to thank you lord
Just give me a sign I can’t ignore
I’m grateful
and I am so grateful

What you have leads to a single word
Felt in every single nerve
No matter who you are I was put in first
And then we flow like the river
Nothing in this life is truly mine
The beauty in my life that you designed
And I was there every single time
Ashukru Alhamdulillah

From my eyesight down to the touch
I can not even thank you enough
I promise you i’m not giving up
Jannah is what awaits me
Life has been more than good to me
Even the pain has taught me to see
Appreciate the air you breathe
Ya Allah you made me

Chorus

I’m grateful
For every single thing you’ve given me
I’m grateful
And I don’t need to worry about a thing
And if I forget to thank you lord
Just give me a sign I can’t ignore
I’m grateful
and I am so grateful

I’m grateful
For every single thing you’ve given me
I’m grateful
And I don’t need to worry about a thing
And if I forget to thank you lord
Just give me a sign I can’t ignore
I’m grateful
and I am so grateful

Track 10: Heartbeat

Download on Amazon

Another mother song!

This one is pleasant to listen to. Originally released in 2021.

The lyrics video is well-produced as is the Nasheed.

In particular, I like the part where the title, Heartbeat, is mentioned. As we hear base-like vocals that mimic the sound of a heartbeat – clever.

Muad - Heartbeat (Vocals Only)

Heart Lyrics

At nights you were sleepless
I know it weren’t easy
And you are the reason I’m here

And no other feeling
Can top what you mean to me
I owe you all of my years

I love you I love you the most
l just want I just want you to know
You gave me the love I always need
My heart will always be your home

I’ll be there forever and ever
Wrapped up in endless love
X marks the spot, you’re my treasure
Can’t thank the Lord enough

You are my angel
My superhero
Forever I’m grateful
Always a part of me

Chorus

You are my heartbeat (heartbeat)
Beating away every day
You’ll always be my queen (my queen)
No one can take, take your place

You taught me love, took away pain
You’re the sun behind the rain
You are my heartbeat
Beating away every day, every day

Nine months you carried me through the pain
I’ll never let you down, I swear
You made the man that I am today
I’ll always keep you in my prayers

Heaven lies under you
I’ll lower the wings you gave to me
You’ll never be number two
God hears your call so pray for me

There with you on your golden days
There with you right to your oldest age
You are my map, you showed me the way
Right up to, right up to heaven’s gates

You are my angel
My superhero
Forever I’m grateful
Always a part of me

Chorus

You’re my heartbeat (heartbeat),
Beating away every day
You’ll always be my queen (my queen)
No one can take, take your place.

You taught me love, took away pain,
You’re the sun behind the rain
You’re my heartbeat
Beating away every day, every day

Track 11: Mafifa

Download on Amazon

Mafifa is aimed at the youth. It has a hip-hop/Reggae element and teaches our youth to stay connected.

Life is about loyalty, keeping good friends and behaving well – if we do that, we will reach Jannah Inshallah.

I notice Jannah to be mentioned in most of Muad’s tracks on this album. Perhaps because it’s our ultimate goal.

Constant reminders are a great thing.

Mafifa Lyrics

Always got oyur back
Just like the Avengers
Theres no need to help
Jannah is the aim game
Change the game the way we made it
Have the strength of the mountains
Even though we a bunh of Mrs
And years in counting

Just like the Prophet once said
Follow your faith and your friends
When it comes to the very end
You know they will always be there
When you are down and out
And when you hit the ground
And when things don’t work out
I’ll be there

Chorus

Life’s about the loyalty
Right besides you til the end
Stronger than the royalty
Stronger than the president
I pray in Jannah we elevate
Always put you ahead of me

Life’s about the loyalty
Right besides you til the end
Brotherhood never fails
Like a permanent marker
Different colour skin
I tell no fibs roger that
I pray to the lord Al-Malik
To keep this bond electric
I said if you said it
I queue up to be protected

Just like the Prophet once said
Follow your faith and your friends
When it comes to the very end
You know they will always be there
When you are down and out
And when you hit the ground
And when things don’t work out
I’ll be there

Chorus

Life’s about the loyalty
Right besides you til the end
Stronger than the royalty
Stronger than the president
I pray in Jannah we elevate
Always put you ahead of me

Life’s about the loyalty
Right besides you til the end

Track 12: Against All Odds

Download on Amazon

At Islamic Music Hub, we love songs that make direct references to Quran and Hadith.

Against All Odds does just that.

A song about prophets of Islam.

References are made to Prophet Jesus being raised alive, a belief held by us Muslims that differs from the Christian narrative. Other references include mention of prophet Muhammed when he received abuse, Prophet Noah building the ark and even Yusuf’s dream (pbut).

The song reflects on the struggles our prophets went though in order to deliver the message of Islam. It gives us hope.

Against All Odds Lyrics

You understand me
When no-one else does
You’re the answer
Oh you’re enough

When i’m in darkness
I feel the pain
With every regardless
I call your name
For heaven I would
Give up the world
My heart is full
Cause you come first

Like Prophet Yusuf and his dream
And Musa at the sea
Like Ayyub waited patiently
And the courage of Ibrahim

Against all odds
You respond the strength they had it all
And through the storm protect me lord
Away from all the harm

And through your mercy
We live by your grace
I pray i’m worthy
To be under your shade
When life gets colder
You are my home
When the worlds on my shoulders
I’m not alone
For heaven I would
Give up the world
My heart is full
Cause you come first

Like Prophet Yunus in the dark
And Nuh when he built the ark
Like Prophet Esa returned to God
And they battle cause

Against all odds
You respond the strength they had it all
And through the storm protect me lord
Away from all the harm

Wins out the heart
I pray that forever
You strengthen the bond

Like Prophet Muhammed in the cave
Or when his children passed away
And all the abuse that he went though
But no he did not break

Against all odds
You respond the strength they had it all
And through the storm protect me lord
Away from all the harm

Track 13: Ya Muhammed ft Zayaan

Download on Amazon

Released in October 2021, Ya Muhammed already has over 1 million hits on Youtube.

It’s another duet between Muad and Zayaan.

It’s all about the prophet Muhammed, and how much he cares for his people.

For example, one hadith states that people will run to other prophets asking them to interceed for them on the day of judgement. However, they will all say they are only concerned about their own fate. Muhammed (pbuh) however, will make dua for us.

Zayaan sings in Arabic!

Unlike the previous sonds, Zayaan sings in the Arabic language in this one.

Users have commented on the song suggesting a piano has been used. However, that is not the case. Muad has confirmed this himself.

It’ a beautiful song. I can see why so many are listening to it over and over again.

Muad X Zayaan - Ya Muhammad (Vocals Only)

Ya Muhammed Lyrics

Once upon a time
During A’am Ul-Feel
A mercy for mankind
Was sent for you and me

And this orphan child
Grew and came to be
The greatest man alive
Pray in Jannah we meet
Paved the way for us
So we can believe
Taught us all about love
And showed us what is means

Ya Muhammed, Ya Muhammed
Salla Allahu Alayhi Wa Salam
Ya Muhammed, Ya Muhammed
With your words my heart smiled
Ya Muhammed, Ya Muhammed
Heart and soul so radiant
Ya Muhammed, Ya Muhammed
I’d trade the world to see your face

Why are you crying oh
The most blessed of prophets
Oh how I long for
My beloved friends that came after me
So please tell me what would make you content oh
My beloved Muhammed
You are the one who is prayed upon and we give Salam

My ummah, my ummah
Enter them in Jannah with me
My ummah, my ummah
Jannah is where we shall meet

Ya Muhammed, Ya Muhammed
Salla Allahu Alayhi Wa Salam
Ya Muhammed, Ya Muhammed
With your words my heart smiled
Ya Muhammed, Ya Muhammed
Heart and soul so radiant
Ya Muhammed, Ya Muhammed
I’d trade the world to see your face

Ya Muhammed, Ya Muhammed
Salla Allahu Alayhi Wa Salam
Ya Muhammed, Ya Muhammed
With your words my heart smiled
Ya Muhammed, Ya Muhammed
Heart and soul so radiant
Ya Muhammed, Ya Muhammed
I’d trade the world to see your face

Track 14: I know

Download on Amazon

I know is an upbeat song about picking Deen over Dunya.

The song has been produced well and is quite amazing for a number 14 on the album.

I Know Lyrics

I know, I know
l Gota always watch my back now
I know, I know
Won’t be afraid and won’t ever back down
I know, I know
Life is a struggle I know it’s hard
But I know, I know
I don’t need anyone but God yea

It don’t take that much just to work out
That i’d never pick Dunya over Deen
I don’t care if my life’s on burnout
And if I have to be crawling on my knees
What did the prophet believe
Was a single message
They won’t abandon me
He’s been laying in my record

No i’m not casing money
Cause all it does is bring pain
This world aint that important
My mind is aiming elsewhere
I know it can be tempting
And there are people who stay
But I don’t care about them
All I want is heaven

Chorus

I know, I know
l gota always watch my back now
I know, I know
Won’t be afraid and won’t ever back down
I know, I know
Life is a struggle I know it’s hard
But I know, I know
I don’t need anyone but God yea

This life is temporary
It’s made for us to fall
I carry sins that I have done
But I try to write my wrongs
I’m trying to change for good
I’m taking every step
Not going this for you
Cause God has got my back

No i’m not casing money
Cause all it does is bring pain
This world aint that important
My mind is aiming elsewhere
I know it can be tempting
And there are people who stay
But I don’t care about them
All I want is heaven

I know, I know
l Gota always watch my back now
I know, I know
Won’t be afraid and won’t ever back down
I know, I know
Life is a struggle I know it’s hard
But I know, I know
I don’t need anyone but God yea

Track 15: Going Home

Download on Amazon

We’ve come to the last track on the album, Going Home.

But what does home refer to?

Home could refer to Jannah in this song. It’s as if Muad has made a decision to make a change and tread a straight path, a path that will eventually lead to Jannah.

I love the references to the sea and sailing in this song. Have a listen.

Going Home Lyrics

I know this road I don’t know it
Seen all the signs that says don’t go there
Sometimes i’m lost in my on thoughts
But I’ve paid the things I can’t afford

I’ve got no choice but to look forward
Take out my compass and point north
Anchor away let the rope go
Lift up the sales here I come

I’m going home tonight
And I aint looking back
I’m going home tonight
I leave it all in the past
The ship sails the way Allah wants me to go
I cannot wait to get home
I’m going home tonight
I’m going home tonight

Even if you hit that ice berg
And sometimes a compass just won’t work
Maybe you’re lost feeling hopeless
As long as you believe in Allah first
Suddenly you see a lighthouse
Stars that are light showing your path
Nope that’s just Allah on your side
Please lead the way here I come

I’m going home tonight
And I aint looking back
I’m going home tonight
I leave it all in the past
The ship sails the way Allah wants me to go
I cannot wait to get home
I’m going home tonight
I’m going home tonight

l’m going home tonight
And I aint looking back
I’m going home tonight
I’m going home tonight

Final Thoughts

Muad has produced a smashing album. It’s vocal only and I think everyone should support the artist by purchasing the album from Amazon.
