Palestine You’re Not Alone By Minimuslims – Kids Palestine Song

MiniMuslims: Palestine You’re Not Alone Download | Lyrics

My toddler loves MiniMuslims, and ‘Palestine You’re Not Alone’ is one of the best songs they have come up with by far. It’s great to see a kids song about Palestine!

Some context

It’s day 129 of the war on Gaza. Most of the population has fled to Rafah and Israel are planning a ground invasion into the area. An area which was previously described as a ‘safe zone’. Palestinians in Gaza feel as though world leaders have betrayed them.

However, there has been unbelievable support from common people all around the world, and that is what this song is about.

“Palestine You’re Not Alone” is the name of the brand new kids song by MiniMuslims and Nasheed artist Raef.

So, what is the new Kids song all about?

Worldwide support for Palestine!

The song attempts to put hope in the hearts of those trapped in Gaza, by sending a message to the people of Palestine reminding them that they are not alone.

How?

By highlighting Palestine support from around the world via protests, concerts, fundraising and social media posts.

Be sure to watch the video

The lyrics alone are not enough to convey the message. You must listen to this song while watching the music video. Because, the images shown help convey the true message of the song.

So, let’s take a look at the music video for ‘Palestine You’re Not Alone’ by MiniMuslims.

Palestine You’re Not Alone Music Video

Palestine You're Not Alone 🇵🇸 🤍 Raef & MiniMuslims

Having been to Masjid Al-Aqsa and seen the joy of children playing football inside the compound itself, the opening scene truly struck a chord.

We see the shadow of a tank appear behind children as they are playing, followed by scenes from protests around the world.

About the protests

In London we marched despite politicians describing them as ‘Hate Marches’. Jews, Christians and atheists marched along side us.

In New York, many protested on the streets despite the US government supporting and funding Israel.

And similar protests have taken place, and are still taking place, around the world.

The music video to this song captures those protests really well, showing the diversity in the crowd and unity between different kinds of people.

What about the Kids?

For children, this song provides a great way to learn about what is happening in Palestine without seeing the real images. The cartoon shows a fireball falling from the sky onto a family, followed by a scene of children who may not make it.

Although some parents may not wish to subject their kids to this kind of material. I believe it provides education and allows them to get a flavour of what is happening without seeing the graphic part.

Now, let’s take a look at the lyrics:

MiniMuslims Palestine Song Lyrics

In the land of the olive tree
Children play and they dream to be free
in their own home.

When the tanks come a-rolling in
and the fear swells up within just know,
you’re not alone

Around the world, our hearts beat as one
And we believe that peace will come
No don’t you cry
You’re never on your own
Palestine, you’re not alone

When the fire falls from the sky
and you ask ’cause you wonder why
you’ve lost all that you’ve owned
God’s justice will be done
’cause we believe in your freedom
just know you’re not alone

Inshallah peace will come
Inshallah Inshallah peace will come
Palestine, you’re not alone

Lyrics Analysis

In the land of the olive tree – A reference to the various Olive trees around Palestine. In fact, there is a mountain that overlooks Al-Aqsa called ‘The Mountain of Olives’. However, Israel has made this mountain into a cemetery

When the tanks come a-rolling in – Not just in Gaza. Tanks and snipers are all over the West Bank too. They often bulldoze homes to make way for settlers.

Palestine, you’re not alone – True. You only have to look as far as social media to see how much support Palestine has. Motaz, a Palestinian journalist who was able to flee to Qatar has more Instagram followers than Joe Biden!

Final Thoughts on the Minimuslims Palestine song

An emotional song that is perfect for educating children on the subject of Palestine.

It has the power to make you cry, as do much of the videos coming out of Gaza right now.

Amazing work MiniMuslims!
