Jummah Mubarak by Omar Esa – Music Free Kids Nasheed

Omar Esa Jummah Mubarak Legal Download | Lyrics

Kids love songs and Omar Esa has released a catchy one – Jummah Mubarak.

One of the best things about Omar Esa’s Nasheeds is that they are free from any type of musical instruments, including the Daff.

Omar himself admits the Daff is Halal but chooses to keep away from it. Therefore, Omer Esa is a fantastic choice for Nasheed lovers who wish to keep away from instruments.

I am a voice only nasheed artist Alhamdulillah, I do not use beatboxing or studio synthesisers in my nasheeds, everything you hear in this nasheed and in all my nasheeds is done by my own voice Alhamdulillah Rabbil Alamin, I don’t even use the duff even though the duff is permissible in Islam. May Almighty Allah (subhanahu wa ta’ala) accept my nasheed (dawah) work from me Ameen! Whatever music can do, so can the voice! My voice is my instrument.

Kids will love it

Jummah Mubarak is aimed at young children, evident by the animation music video and lyrics to the song.

The song teaches the importance of Friday, and places emphasis on important Friday sunnahs. For example, reading surah al-Kahf and using a Miswak.

The catchy nature of the song combined with an addictive chorus will keep children listening.

Lyrics Analysis

References to the Quran and Hadith have been numbered above, and explained in this section.

1 – There is an entire chapter called ‘Jummah’ in the Quran

It is the best day

The Quran places importance on the day of Friday:

““O you who believe! When you are called to congregational (Friday) prayer, hasten to the remembrance of God and leave off trade. That is better for you, if you but knew.”

(Quran 62:9)

2 – We shouldn’t talk during the Khutbah

It’s really important to listen to the Friday Khutbah. In fact, talking is not permitted while the sermon is being delivered.

“If you say to your companion, ‘Listen attentively’ on a Friday, when the imam is delivering the khutbah, then you have engaged in idle speech”.

(Bukhari)

3 – Try to keep the rows straight

Saf means ‘row’ in Arabic. The Prophet (pbuh) said:

Straighten your rows, for straightening the rows is part of perfecting prayer.”

(Bukhaari, Muslim)

4 – Ever used a Miswak to brush your teeth? Try it!

A miswak is a twig or tooth stick, used to clean the teeth.

People have written volumes on the scientific benefits of using a Miswak over a toothbrush. So, why not use both?

Using a Miswak before every prayer is often considered a forgotten Sunnah of the prophet (pbuh). In addition, it is also an emphasised sunnah of Friday.

‘Abd al-Rahman son of Abd Sa’id al-Khudri reported on the authority of his father that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: Bathing on Friday for every adult, using of Miswak and applying some perfume, that is available-these are essential. So far as the perfume is concerned, it may be that used by a lady.

(Hadith 1841 – Muslim)

5 – Try to read Surah Kahf ever Friday… if you can’t, read a few lines.

If you read Surah Kahf, light will shine on you from one Friday to the next.

Abu Sa’id Al-Khudri reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever recites Surat al-Kahf on Friday will have a light between this Friday and the next.”

6 – What is Istijabah?

Istijabah is a special time that occurs on a Friday, this is a time when Duas are accepted.

According to a Hadith narrated by Jabir (RA) the Prophet Sall Allahu ‘alayhi wa sallam said:

“Friday is comprised of twelve hours. There is one in which a Muslim who asks Allah for something will have it granted to him. Seek it in the last hour after `Asr.”

[Sunan Abî Dâwûd (1048), Sunan al-Nasâ’î (1389) and Mustadrak al-Hâkim(1032)]

Final Thoughts

This is a fantastic song to help children learn about Islam. Therefore, I suggest replacing conventional songs with Nasheeds such as Jummah Mubarak.
