Allah Made Everything by Zain Bhikha – A Kids Track That Adults Will Love

Zain Bhikha: Allah Made Everything Download | MP3

Almost 8 million YouTube views – Zain Bhikha has done really well with this one!

Allah Made Everything is track number 7 from Zain Bhikha’s album ‘The Passing Traveller’. The tracks in this album are similar to his earlier songs, featuring soothing vocals and drums.

It’s an Islamic song for kids, but adults are likely to love it just as much as the children.

So why is this song so popular?

Let’s explore three key reasons:

  • Omar Regan
  • Drums
  • Purity of the song

The Energy Of Omar Regan

The video features Omar Regan, a US based comedian.

Omar Regan is well-known in the Islamic entertainment scene as he has been involved with a variety of projects.

He’s hosted Islamic concerts, performed comedy at various events (including the GPU in London) and even started a film industry known as Halalywood Entertainment.

Omar Regan is well-known for having an abundance of energy, and being able to make people of all ages laugh.

He has acted as the stunt double for Chris Tucker in Rush Hour two, and can do fantastic impersonations of Chris Tucker as well as Elmo from Seaseme St.

He is also great with children!

His ability with children might be the reason he was selected to play the role. His character sings, dances and plays with the kids throughout the 5 minute video.

The Only Instruments Are Drums

This track only uses drums and human voice to create music.

This is fantastic as there are many different views about instruments in Islam. One common suggestion is that musical instruments are not allowed, apart from the duff (drum). By using only drums, Zain Bhikha ensures everyone is happy – reaching a wider audience.

There are many Islamic songs that stick to this idea. Mountains of Makkah is a prime example of a track by Zain Bhikha himself. Artists such as Maher Zain produce a non-instrumental version of every track. Learn more.

A Pure Song, With A Simple Message

Another reason I feel this song has done so well is due to the purity of the track.

The song is not over-populated with deep meaningful lyrics, rather it contains a simple message that is portrayed through examples taken from the animal kingdom – kids love this!

The message is simple: Allah created everything, therefore he is the only one to worship.

Allah Made Everything Video

The video is filmed at an Islamic college in Cape Town, opening with Omar Regan (the teacher) teaching the kids in-depth science.

This is a relatable scenario for children, as they are likely to have been in similar situations before (i.e. a boring lesson).

The teacher then bursts into song, and the kids jump up and join in.

Allah Made Everything Lyrics

Le’ts go through the lyrics to Allah Made Everything. Lines that relate to Quran and Hadith have been numbered (in purple), and discussed below.

Hey little fish in the bottom of the ocean
Moving along in a really cool motion
Did you ever wonder where you came from
Who is the lord of all creation
The little fish said “That’s my Lord”
“Allah the Creator of us all” – 1
Hey little bird so way up high
Light up the sky with your color design
Tell me who made you and I
Me to walk and you to fly
The little bird said “That’s my Lord”
“Allah the Creator of us all”
Chorus:
Allahu Akbar
Our Creator
There’s no one greater – 2
Than Allah
So why do we stand tall
Too proud to recognize – 3
What’s right before our eyes
Signs from our Lord – 4
Hey alligator laying so still
Who’s your maker, by who’s will
Do you crawl and do you swim
Who controls everything
The alligator said “That’s my Lord”
“Allah the Creator of us all”
Hey king of the jungle the mighty lion
Top of the food chain, no denying
But who is the one that you rely on
Life or death who is deciding
The Lion said “That’s my Lord”
“Allah the Creator of us all”

Chorus
Hey my brother hey my sister
See yourself as self sustainer
Don’t you see what will come later
We all return to the Creator
Then we’ll say “That’s our Lord”
“Oh Allah forgive us all”
I travelled the world, north to the south
East to the west and there ain’t no doubt
Whoever I see, whatever I’ve found
I can hear them sing out loud
Alḥamdullillāh Praise my Lord
Allah the Creator of us all
Chorus
Additional Chorus:
Allah made everything
You and I
Allah made everything
The earth and the blue sky
But do we remember him
Thank him for everything
Surrender to only Him
With all our lives

Links to Quran & Hadith

Links to the Quran and hadith have been numbered above (in purple) and presented below.

1 He created all things

Allah the Creator of us all

There are many places in the Quran where Allah tells us that he is the creator of everything.

“That is Allah, your Lord; there is no deity except Him, the Creator of all things, so worship Him. And He is Disposer of all things.” (Quran 6:102)

Other Verses include: 13:16, 6:1, 35:3, 39:62

2 Allah is the Greatest

There’s no one greater, than Allah

We say Allah-hu-Akhbar before the prayer, and between every movement. This translates to ‘Allah is the greatest.

3 Controlling Pride

Too proud to recognize

Being proud of an achievement is one thing, but being arrogant is another. Islam discourages one from thinking they’re above others. One example is with regards to trouser length…

Where do trousers fit in?

The prophet discouraged people from allowing their lower garment to reach below the ankles. Back in those days, people used to wear long garments that dragged along the floor out of pride.

The idea was this: If you’re rich, you can afford to get your clothes dirty and buy new ones. This was a way for them to show they were better than others.

You could argue it still applies today via expensive designer clothing, or buying a new outfit for every occasion. We should see ourselves as equals with others, regardless of status.

“The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Isbaal (wearing one’s garment below the ankles) may apply to the izaar (lower garment), the shirt or the turban. Whoever allows any part of these to trail on the ground out of arrogance, Allaah will not look at him on the Day of Judgement.” (reported by Abu Dawud, no. 4085, and al-Nisaa’i, no. 5334, with a saheeh isnaad).

4 Signs through science, language and prophecies

Signs from our Lord

The Quran contains many signs that the book is from Allah, and not the work of man. Let’s look at three of them:

  • Scientific
  • Language
  • Prophecies

Scientific signs of Islam

Many verses in the Quran may not have been fully understood at the time they were revealed. For example Allah speaks about the two seas and how they do not mix. Science has now found that in places where two seas meet, there is a barrier between them. Each sea has it’s own temperature, salinity, and density. (Principles of Oceanography, Davis, pp. 92-93). This fact could not have been known at the time of the Quran.

“He has set free the two seas meeting together. There is a barrier between them. They do not transgress.” (Quran 55:19-20)

This is just one example. There are many verses like this in relation to a variety of topics such as the water-cycle, embryology, bees, honey, humans and space. I recommend the following book:

Language of Quran

There are signs in the way Allah revealed the Quran and it’s language. When the Quran was revealed, the Arabs were proud of their language, and would recite poetry often.

When the Quran was revealed many people became Muslim due to the poetic nature of it alone.

One example of a linguistic miracle is the volume of palindromes. Paragraphs that mean the same when read forwards and backwards. Example: Ayat-ul-kursi.

In fact the Quran challenges people to create one word, line or chapter like it.

“Say: “If the mankind and the jinns were together to produce the like of this Qur’an, they could not produce the like thereof, even if they helped one another.” (Quran 17:88)

Prophecies in Islam

The Quran reveals a number of events, before they actually happen. One example is the preservation of Pharaoh. His body was discovered in Egypt and given to Christian scientist Maurice Bucaille. After examination he found that the person had drowned, and that this could be the same Pharaoh as the one in the Quran and Bible. Read More

“This day shall We save thee in the body, that thou mayest be a sign to those who come after thee! but verily, many among mankind are heedless of Our Signs!” (Quran 10:92)

Final Thoughts

This song is great for kids! It has a simple, but important message.
